Tiny Bundles Program
Every Friday, the Food Bank becomes a sea of strollers, soothers, giggles and babies!
Tiny Bundles is a very special program the Kelowna Community Food Bank offers to pregnant mothers and families with children under the age of one.
In addition to regular monthly hampers, Tiny Bundle participants also receive weekly nutritional support including milk and eggs for pregnant and/or nursing mothers; fresh fruits and vegetables; as well as other nutritional supplements and baby supplies including diapers, baby cereal, baby formula (when needed) and baby food. Mothers also receive a one-time layette, containing new baby items, when the baby is born.
Although every attempt is made to ensure that diapers, formula and baby food can be provided to our "Tiny Bundles," the Kelowna Food Bank heavily relies on the support of our community in the form of cash and food donations to operate and may, from time to time, be unable to provide some items.
Given this reality, the Kelowna Food Bank is always looking for donors to fulfill the needs of our program. If you wish to support our "Tiny Bundles" program, please contact Lenetta Thordarson at (250) 763-7161 or email: lenetta@kcfb.ca. We guarantee that all money specifically donated will be used for this program will be allocated as such - the money will be used to meet the basic needs of many babies. Also remember, donations of the following are always needed; formula, baby food, baby cereal, diapers and any other baby items (including; bottles, clothing, pacifiers, diaper cream etc.).
